Steele Hill Resort now offers electric bike tours, exploring multiple miles of the scenic property along well-groomed trails from a pedal assist Norco Charger E-Bike. The motorized bicycles offer a unique experience and are great for all fitness and experience levels. The professional and skilled tour guides navigate the adventure, sharing their knowledge about the resort and Lakes Region while showcasing the incredible views, history and accessibility to fresh mountain air and wildlife.
Each voyage lasts approximately one hour and travels along five miles of a custom-made bicycle trail network with varying terrain and elevation. During the tour, riders visit several sensational viewpoints and historic sites, with multiple photo opportunities along the way. Guests on the tour choose a pace they are comfortable with, combining pedaling with the electric assistance of the bikes, while our experienced tour guides lead the remarkable adventure through the wooded land of the resort. Some of the popular tour locations along the trails include a foundation of a homestead dating back to the 1700s where the last wolf of Sanbornton was seen, an onsite cemetery, scenic overlooks of the panoramic Lakes Region views, and more! Some riders have even been lucky enough to come across native wildlife animals including deer, turkeys and moose while on the exciting tour!

Some tips to know before you ride:
- Reserve your spot on the expedition prior to your arrival at the resort by booking the adventure here
- Come ready to ride in proper clothing and footwear. Closed toed shoes are required for our electric bicycle tours and athleticwear is highly recommended. The resort will provide helmets
- Review the e-bike map (above) to familiarize yourself with the trails before the tour
- It is okay if you have not ridden a bicycle for a while, there will be a training and how-to session prior to the main ride
- There are multi levels of assistance provided by the bike. While riding on the trails, most riders enjoy using the boost feature for maximum assistance
- There are a couple of locations on the trail where there is a quick descend. We ask that only riders who feel comfortable with biking downhill undertake this course
- This amenity is only available to guests who are at least thirteen years of age and over five feet tall. We do have three different sized electric bicycles onsite
