Steele Hill Resort’s Spring Ahead

Steele Hill Resort’s Spring Ahead

Winter is still very present here in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region but the days are getting longer, the temperatures are starting to rise and before we know it, the snow will be gone and the grass will be green. Spring may not seem like the most ideal time to vacation but it can be a really great time to experience the resort and the Lakes Region area. There are some real benefits to a spring vacation: you can save some money by booking one of our discounted spring packages, the area is not as busy during the spring season and you won’t have to deal with traffic or busy local attractions.

At the resort we have a lot to offer before the busy summer season with hiking trails, tennis courts, a basketball court, horseshoes, corn hole, fishing in our stocked pond, laser tag, guided electric bike tours and the golf course which will be open in early May. We have a fulltime activities staff that offer a variety of activities such as trivia night, candy bar bingo, arts and crafts, build your own stuffed animal at Teddy Bear Mountain, hosting campfires where you can roast marshmallows and make delicious smores, or build your own sundae at the weekly ice cream social. You can shop at The Market at Steele Hill where you can find all your favorite snacks and beverages as well as Steele Hill and Path Resorts clothing items and we always have a variety of locally sourced items such as maple syrup, jam or honey. The indoor pools and hot tubs are available where you can enjoy a refreshing swim, relax in the Roman Spa or get warmed up in one of the dry heat saunas. The onsite Hilltop Restaurant is open 6 days a week (closed on Wednesdays). You can dine in The Hilltop or Tova’s Tavern where you can try one of the local beers on tap and listen to live entertainment on Friday evenings. You can enjoy a poolside beverage from The Oasis bar and you can even get the complete menu of food and beverages delivered right to your room. The Hilltop is open for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays where they offer a great breakfast buffet of all your favorite breakfast staples like chocolate chip pancakes, French toast, eggs, fresh fruit and more.

If you want to venture out from the resort The Lakes Region has so much to offer. Shop for bargains at the Tanger outlets, catch a movie or a live show at a local theater, test your skills at bowling or video games at Funspot “the world’s largest arcade”.  You could visit a few or all of the nearby breweries to get a taste of the local flavor. Spring is maple syrup season and many of the local farms open up their doors to allow visitors to see the process of how maple syrup is produced. We are also a short drive to several hiking trails of all levels that all lead to some spectacular views of the lakes and mountains.

I hope that if you are looking to get away to relax for a week or just a couple days that you consider staying with us and experience all that Steele Hill Resorts and the Lakes Region has to offer.

Sincerely,
Robert Robillard
