A Spring Ahead Message

A Spring Ahead Message

As I sit here and write this message it looks and feels like a beautiful spring day outside. There is very little snow on the ground, and it is 50 degrees and sunny but… the weather forecast is predicting twelve inches of snow in the next couple of days! So, while it feels like spring today, winter is still going to stick around for a little while. The area has had a great ski season so far with all the mountains offering great conditions. Here at the resort, we developed a new skating rink and offered ice skate rentals which turned out to be very successful with many of our guests having the opportunity to take advantage of this new amenity, some trying ice skating for the first time. As much as we are enjoying winter, we will soon start seeing consistent warmer days and we will transition to spring.

While spring may not be the time of year that most think about taking a vacation, I can tell you there is plenty to do in the Lakes Region and here at the resort. If you’re looking for outdoor activities the resort and area offer some great hiking trails with spectacular views. Once the weather allows, we will open all the outdoor activities such as the golf course, basketball and tennis courts, corn hole and volleyball. Last year we launched Laser Tag which was met with great enthusiasm, and it will open again in April. This year we are very excited to be offering guided E-Bike tours on a trail network around the resort property. Keep on the lookout for more information coming soon! For a more relaxing time, don’t forget that the pool areas offer a warm and tropical experience. We have two saunas, three hot tubs and a large Roman spa, or just take a swim in one of our many swimming pools. Dine at the Hilltop Restaurant or Tova’s Tavern and if you don’t feel like going out, all the delicious food and drinks they offer can be delivered right to your room.

If you want to venture away from the resort, there are plenty of things to do in the area. The Lakes Region offers several small breweries and wineries, shopping at The Tanger Outlets, local movie theaters, bowling or the opportunity to test your video game skills at Funspot, “the world’s largest arcade”.

We hope you will join us this spring and see all Steele Hill and the Lakes Region has to offer. Please be sure to check out our website for seasonal discounts and special packages.

Sincerely,
Robert Robillard
