04 Aug Steele Hill Resort’s Fall Ahead 2023
The resort has been bustling with guests this summer. Visitors have been enjoying a variety of activities including swimming, playing golf, hiking the trail system, laser tag, e-bike tours, and exploring some of the fun, local attractions in the Lakes Region. The food and beverage department has been busy with guests who have been enjoying the new summer drink menu and live entertainment during the week at both of our outdoor pools. In just a few weeks summer is coming to an end, the kids will be back in school and we will be transitioning into fall. The cooler fall weather allows for a great time to take advantage of the many outdoor activities. The heat calms down, and the scenery is beautiful as leaves will be turning from green to the beautiful, vibrant orange, yellow, and red colors of fall. Though the warmth of summer fades, the region continues to offer a wealth of delightful activities during the fall months. New Hampshire’s lakes region and white mountains offer all levels of hiking with breathtaking views. Most local attractions and activities stay open in the fall so there is plenty to keep you busy if you want to explore New Hampshire. Gunstock mountain has a zip line and mountain coaster from the top of the mountain which is an exciting and unique way to enjoy the wonderful colors of fall. State fairs start on Labor Day and continue just about every weekend through Columbus day. The state and county fairs are always an enjoyable experience with great food, rides, games, agricultural displays, shows and competitions of all types. For guests planning a New Hampshire getaway in September, also known as apple season, be sure to visit at least one of the many local orchards where you are able to pick your own apples. Many of the local farms also offer tractor rides, fresh apple cider, donuts, farm stands with fresh produce and pumpkin patches.
If you are looking for more indoor activities, there are several local breweries and wineries in the area that offer tastings and the Lakes Region is also host to a diverse offering of great restaurants. You can catch some live concerts or shows at one of the local venues. The Tanger outlets can satisfy all your shopping needs and they offer some great deals during the fall season. There is always Funspot where you can bowl, play indoor mini golf or take a step back in time and play some vintage video games. Check out The Kellerhaus, a popular local attraction, where you can enjoy homemade chocolate candies or make your own ice cream sundae.
Within the welcoming embrace of Steele Hill Resort, you’ll find a haven of warmth and comfort, providing the perfect setting to cherish this enchanting season.
