2025 Pool Maintenance Updates at Steele Hill Resort

2025 Pool Maintenance Updates at Steele Hill Resort

Each year at Steele Hill Resort, we dedicate time during the quieter late fall and early winter months to complete important behind-the-scenes work on our East and West Pool areas. These planned maintenance periods allow our team to focus on long-term improvements that enhance comfort, efficiency and reliability for our guests and Vacation Club Members throughout the year.

For 2025, the East Pool maintenance period took place from November 10th through November 22nd, followed by the West Pool closure from December 1st through December 12th. During these windows, our maintenance and contractor teams completed a wide range of projects across the pool facilities, fitness area and supporting mechanical systems.

Across both pool areas, several core upgrades were completed to improve performance and longevity. The pool area received fresh paint touch-ups to refresh the space, along with repairs and replacements of damaged ceiling tiles. Pool lighting was upgraded to new high-efficiency LED fixtures, improving visibility while reducing energy consumption. Mechanical improvements included the replacement of a pool pump and a new heater for the hot tub, helping ensure consistent water temperatures and dependable operation during peak usage.

The West Pool area saw a number of additional enhancements focused on both guest experience and infrastructure. Baseboards throughout the pool area were replaced and the gym received new wall and baseboard updates. Paint touch-ups were completed in the pool area and locker rooms and the iconic mushroom feature was freshly repainted. We also installed a new television in the pool area to support resort messaging and activity highlights. Several important repairs were completed behind the scenes as well, including fixing a leak in the Roman Spa piping, repairing spa jets and addressing post lighting within the pool area.

In addition to visible upgrades, significant improvements were made to critical hot water systems. The domestic hot water system serving the West units was fully replaced with a more robust and efficient boiler system, designed to better support guest demand. Similar work is underway in the Resort North Wing, where boilers for the domestic hot water system are being upgraded to improve performance, efficiency and long-term reliability.

While many of these projects may not be immediately noticeable during a swim or soak, they play an essential role in maintaining the comfort, safety and consistency our guests expect. From improved lighting and refreshed finishes to upgraded mechanical systems, each update is part of our ongoing commitment to thoughtful reinvestment in the resort.

We appreciate everyone’s patience during these annual maintenance periods and are excited to welcome guests back to refreshed pool areas designed to support relaxation, family fun and year-round enjoyment. We look forward to seeing you back in the water and sharing another great season at Steele Hill Resort!
