The restaurant, which is open to the public, hosts a delicious and extensive Brunch every Sunday from 8:30am to 1pm. Enjoy sitting in our dining room overlooking beautiful views of Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Winnisquam, and the Belknap Mountain range. Open year-round, the fall is a great time of the year to join us at the Hilltop. As the leaves begin to change their colors and the foliage begins to peak, our restaurant offers one of the best vantage points in New Hampshire for leaf peeping.

Brunch items consist of assorted fruit and pastries, bagels and smoked salmon, cold and hot cereal, bacon and sausage, home fries, eggs, pancakes and French toast, along with an assorted dessert display. Chef specialties include a build your own omelet station, waffle station, corned beef hash and steak with poached eggs, and kitchen staff is crafting new specials every weekend.

Pizza and a View at Steele Hill Resorts

At The Hilltop Restaurant we have raised our pizza game to a whole new level with the addition of a dedicated Marshal Pizza Oven. The new offering features the perfect mix of fresh ingredients delivered with the same cooking quality as some of the best pizza places in the area. Get ready for some cheesy, crunchy goodness from our new brick lined oven.

We start out by using only the freshest ingredients. Our pizza dough is stretched and pulled and dressed with an oil and herb blend to 12” and then a delicious red sauce is spread evenly across the dough, and our special blend of mozzarella and provolone cheese is added to top it off. The pizzas are cooked at exactly 555° in our brick lined oven and then they’re ready to eat!

Locals can come in and enjoy one of our delicious pizzas at Tova’s Tavern or in The Hilltop Restaurant with a New Hampshire-made craft beer and enjoy watching the game or just take it to go! Guests have the option of coming down, grabbing take out, or getting a pizza delivered to their room or anywhere else on the Steele Hill campus with our “Let Us Deliver to You” motto.

Pizza is the perfect option to cater to each individual’s taste which makes it one of the greatest foods ever invented, in our opinion. Our current specialty pizzas on the menu include; BBQ Chicken topped with our famous onion rings, Four Cheese White Pie topped with prosciutto, Spicy Shrimp Scampi topped with a red pepper sauce and bites of shrimp, Buffalo Chicken topped with blue cheese crumbles along with fried chicken and Nature Lover made with a creamy garlic sauce and veggies galore. Our specialty pizzas change from season to season so keep an eye on the menu for new options throughout the year.

With such a large range of toppings to choose from, feel free to be creative and make your own. Let us know your style of pie and who knows, it may even be included on our next menu! If you’re looking for a romantic getaway featuring our updated pizza offering, check out our Overnight With Dinner For Two package that includes a $50 gift certificate to The Hilltop Restaurant. Taps Galore at Tova’s Tavern

Beer enthusiasts are beginning to notice the not so hidden gem down at Tova’s Tavern. With the addition of our new tap system and an emphasis on quality microbrews, the beer selection is quickly becoming a major attraction in the restaurant. Our staff has doubled down on finding the perfect mix to tickle your fancy and provide a unique tasting experience. Guests are invited to sample the different brews to help determine the perfect choice for their particular tastes.

Tova’s Tavern has been serving thirsty guests for decades and with the beer revolution sweeping the country some upgrades to the selection were an obvious fit. Beyond the enhanced offering at the bar, the resort has also embraced the new beer culture by hosting the annual A Brew with a View brewfest. The festival brings together a variety of regional microbrews from around New England as well as like-minded fans of craft beer. The brewfest offers a unique opportunity to research new ideas for the bar and get feedback from guests attending the event. It is really a win-win for our “research” team.

With all the attention given to our beer selection, it’s no wonder Tova’s has been getting some extra attention these days. Just remember, if you plan a visit, don’t forget to pet the stuffed husky on the last bar stool. The tradition is guaranteed to bring good luck for years to come.

Travel Show Features Steele Hill – The Chef’s Plate

With our attractive combination of spacious rooms, abundant amenities and excellent cuisine, Steele Hill has become a favorite destination for many vacationers. This summer the Chef’s Plate, a weekly TV show that covers restaurants and hospitality businesses, approached us to showcase the property.

Helen Ryba, the show’s host and producer, was originally interested in focusing on the Hilltop Restaurant and our wedding offerings. As we shared the full potential of the resort, the episode quickly expanded from a 5 minute feature to a full-length episode. The show was a great opportunity to distill our best attributes down to a visually stunning, professionally produced showcase. For an insider look at what makes Steele Hill Resorts stand out, grab some popcorn and watch the full episode above. We hope you enjoy.

First Big Winner of Lucky Locals Contest

Tom and Sandy Christensen were extremely excited to be selected for the first drawing of the Hilltop Restaurants Lucky Locals Grand Prize. The contest is part of a restaurant promotion that Steele Hill Resorts has been running since the beginning of the summer.

“Many New Hampshire residents don’t know that the Hilltop Restaurant is open to the public. The lucky Locals contest has given residents a fresh reason to drive up our new road and sample the food and views” said James Dole, the Hilltop’s Food and Beverage Director.

As the first of 3 grand prize drawings, the Christensens were selected for 7 nights’ accommodations to their choice of Las Vegas or Orlando. “I was very excited. I immediately went to get my wife and tell her the good news” said Tom Christensen when he picked up the Certificate at the Hilltop. “I have a saying,” Tom said, “that tradition often begins the day you arrive.” The Christensens hope to make visiting the Hilltop Restaurant a tradition going forward.

With more drawings yet to come in July and August, the contest is certainly gaining momentum. “It is pretty simple. Anyone from New Hampshire that dines with us and mentions ‘Lucky Locals’ is entered,” said James Dole. “Our goal is to make the Hilltop Restaurant more accessible to locals. I am confident that the quality of our food and the unique setting will make them want to comeback.”
