23 Nov What To Pack For Your Steele Hill Vacation
Vacations are used as a time to get away from your normal daily pursuits. It is a period where one can relax and destress with loved ones or take advantage of some much-needed alone time. We understand the most stressful part of taking a vacation is typically packing and preparing for the trip. To make things a little easier for you during that tedious part of the process, we have compiled a helpful packing list so you can come to the Lakes Region prepared and ready for your getaway. Continue reading for a full list of suggestions on what to bring on your next Steele Hill Resort vacation!
1) Cell Phone and Camera
Of course cell phones are an essential item when going on vacation, however in the chaos of packing for a big trip they can oftentimes be forgotten. Most cell phones have high quality cameras to take incredible vacation photos but we recommend also packing a DSLR and a waterproof camera for your upcoming trip to capture all of the spectacular views and unforgettable memories. Don’t forget to also throw the charging cords and backup batteries in your suitcase!
2) Comfortable Clothes and Shoes
Vacations are a time to experience true comfort. In addition to your casual clothes and pajamas packed for your trip, be sure to pack comfortable clothes and footwear for your visit to Steele Hill Resort. The resort has many exciting activities and amenities where these items will come in handy like hiking the extensive trail network, riding the electric bikes throughout the resort grounds or ducking and dodging during an outdoor battle of laser tag. Sometimes it’s also nice to just relax in the lounge or on your balcony in an oversized sweater. While at the resort be sure to stop into the onsite market to check out the high quality athleisurewear we sell!
3) Swimwear
The resort has multiple indoor and outdoor swimming pools and hot tubs onsite so be sure to bring your bathing suits. We suggest packing at least 2 per person in your party if you plan to swim each day of your vacation and don’t forget to pack swim diapers for the littles who will be splashing around! Many guests enjoy wearing flipflops and coverups around the pool areas for comfort as well. The resort provides pool towels so no need to worry about those taking up precious space in your luggage.
4) Toiletries
We provide shampoo, conditioner, bar soap and a hair dryer in all accommodations, but recommend packing your travel bag of toiletries which may include your toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, hair brush, razor, moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup and contacts. If you accidentally forget to pack the above listed items, be sure to check out our onsite convenience store.
5) Snacks and/or Meals
Many of Steele Hill’s accommodations include a fully stocked kitchen. For guests staying in the hotel-styled units, there are mini refrigerators and microwaves provided in each room. We suggest bringing snacks and beverages on your getaway, however the resort does have multiple dining options onsite to take advantage of.
6) Entertainment for the Ride or During Downtime
We understand that traveling can become tedious, especially with little ones in tow, so it may help bringing books, board games or electronics along for an additional source of entertainment. Many guests also bring their media streaming devices to enjoy during downtown throughout their vacation.
