Beer enthusiasts are beginning to notice the not so hidden gem down at Tova’s Tavern. With the addition of our new tap system and an emphasis on quality microbrews, the beer selection is quickly becoming a major attraction in the restaurant. Our staff has doubled down on finding the perfect mix to tickle your fancy and provide a unique tasting experience. Guests are invited to sample the different brews to help determine the perfect choice for their particular tastes.
Tova’s Tavern has been serving thirsty guests for decades and with the beer revolution sweeping the country some upgrades to the selection were an obvious fit. Beyond the enhanced offering at the bar, the resort has also embraced the new beer culture by hosting the annual A Brew with a View brewfest. The festival brings together a variety of regional microbrews from around New England as well as like-minded fans of craft beer. The brewfest offers a unique opportunity to research new ideas for the bar and get feedback from guests attending the event. It is really a win-win for our “research” team.
With all the attention given to our beer selection, it’s no wonder Tova’s has been getting some extra attention these days. Just remember, if you plan a visit, don’t forget to pet the stuffed husky on the last bar stool. The tradition is guaranteed to bring good luck for years to come.
With our attractive combination of spacious rooms, abundant amenities and excellent cuisine, Steele Hill has become a favorite destination for many vacationers. This summer the Chef’s Plate, a weekly TV show that covers restaurants and hospitality businesses, approached us to showcase the property.
Helen Ryba, the show’s host and producer, was originally interested in focusing on the Hilltop Restaurant and our wedding offerings. As we shared the full potential of the resort, the episode quickly expanded from a 5 minute feature to a full-length episode. The show was a great opportunity to distill our best attributes down to a visually stunning, professionally produced showcase. For an insider look at what makes Steele Hill Resorts stand out, grab some popcorn and watch the full episode above. We hope you enjoy.
Tom and Sandy Christensen were extremely excited to be selected for the first drawing of the Hilltop Restaurants Lucky Locals Grand Prize. The contest is part of a restaurant promotion that Steele Hill Resorts has been running since the beginning of the summer.
“Many New Hampshire residents don’t know that the Hilltop Restaurant is open to the public. The lucky Locals contest has given residents a fresh reason to drive up our new road and sample the food and views” said James Dole, the Hilltop’s Food and Beverage Director.
As the first of 3 grand prize drawings, the Christensens were selected for 7 nights’ accommodations to their choice of Las Vegas or Orlando. “I was very excited. I immediately went to get my wife and tell her the good news” said Tom Christensen when he picked up the Certificate at the Hilltop. “I have a saying,” Tom said, “that tradition often begins the day you arrive.” The Christensens hope to make visiting the Hilltop Restaurant a tradition going forward.
With more drawings yet to come in July and August, the contest is certainly gaining momentum. “It is pretty simple. Anyone from New Hampshire that dines with us and mentions ‘Lucky Locals’ is entered,” said James Dole. “Our goal is to make the Hilltop Restaurant more accessible to locals. I am confident that the quality of our food and the unique setting will make them want to comeback.”
